Bhagwan
Shree,
I am going into complete total unknown
and universal silence at an unknown place
where there wouldn't be a single human face or any form of habitat beginning
from 8th November 2003 for indefinite
period... Hence you are requested to not to send your mails to me after
7th Nov or expect any reply till I come back that is if I do...
If you are using web browser to read this mail.
Please click on the following link to read
it...
Where are
you going?
Nobody knows it... Not
even my so called family or so called near and dear ones ... but I am going
somewhere where there is not a single human face... or habitat... May be you can
say it as remote jungle or cave or whatever...
For how long you are
going?
Nothing is planned...
minimum at least a month... but as I said... this is journey into unknown... may
be it may get extended... And then again when I am in to nothingness or rather
absolute nothingness or universalization is ... the connection with the body
gets feeble and feeble ... so who knows a moment may come and you may just get
dissolved...
What will you
eat?
I don't know...
Probably nothing...It is journey into unknown...
What will you
drink?
I don't know... May be
nothing... depends upon nature... unknown...
What will you
wear?
I will have with me 2-3
pairs of clothes... but I really don't know... afterwards... may be
nothing at all... it is unknown... I will simply not be there so let
...
How to contact you? It is
Urgent...
Well there is
absolutely no way to contact me... to think that the world needs me and can't
run without me or anybody is plain ego... a mirage... I am
going somewhere where there will not be even electricity or anything... no
habitat... so there is no way you can reach me...
But how do we know when you
are back?
Well... there is no
meaning of sending mail at dattani@hotpop.com... (mails sent here
will be simply downloaded and kept for me...) instead what you do is, send
blank mail at dattani@getresponse.com and you will
receive an autoresponder informing of whether I am back or in Unknown...
What will you be doing in
unknown?
Ridiculous question it
is... the whole life you are doing something even subtly ... even when you ask
for forgiveness or say that I am Pure soul you are doing... attached to
things... attached to doer... that you can't imagine any other thing...
And what you imagine is again an exercise...
Well I will be simply
doing nothing... nothing means absolutely nothing... that is silence... in fact
even silence will not be there... You will say oh it is very simple... I
can do it... Yes? Well you didn't got it?... You don't do... This is
non-doing... Just being the absolute nothingness... or universalization...
Simply dissolve... That is it...
Why this?
Well there are various
reasons... and a complete science behind it... but to put up the science here
will take a book or at least another email... I can
say just to be absolute Nirvana or Moksha... is the
reason... Still I will quote very few of thousands for in very
brief ...
First as to prevent, the
formation, in relation to me, of that already noted from ancient times "
something ", termed by the great Solomon, King of " Juda, " Tzvarnoharno
, which, as was set out by our ancestors, forms
itself by a natural process in the communal life of people as an outcome
of a conjunction of the evil actions of so-called " common people " and
leads to the destruction of both him that tries to achieve something for general
human welfare and of all that he has already accomplished to this
end.
Second, As Shankara has said in Vivek
Chudamni:
There is no hope of immortality or
real knowledge by means of wealth etc, hence it is evident that liberation can
not be brought about by actions.
Renouncing all actions and
breaking free from bonds of Karmas, birth and achievements the wise and
intelligent get to self knowledge and self realization.
Action is for the purification of
mind not for the understanding of reality. The recognition of reality is through
vivek (translated closely in English it would be pure awareness and
discrimination), and not by even tens of millions of
action.
Third as Mahavira has said to be Non-violence. Non-violence
means to be as if you are non-existent... It will be too long to put it
here...
Fourth as is the tradition in Buddhism and Zen to go into
Jungle to be pure free awareness. Even awareness is transcended.
Fifth to be just be still, just be like a river bank as is
the tradition in Vaishnav Panth or Hinduism. Then the still to goes to EMPTINESS
and EMPTINESS too evaporates.
Sixth as Kabir Meera etc. have said that to see your 'self'
you need to isolate it much in the same way as you need to clear the soot on the
mirror and stand close to it to see your image or the way you need to take close
up... because all sort of rubbish is being thrown and tanned on to you...
ultimately the self too evaporates...
Seventh as Gorakhnath and Tantra Science says to transcend
from soul to soullessness, from soullessness to nothingness, from nothingness to
Godliness, From Godliness to Infinitive and from Infinitive to
dissolution...
Eight as Kapilmuni, Astavakra and Sankhya says
just remember the true reality and every action, every thing both outer and
inner just drops... and absolute Nothingness or Sakshi remain rather Sakshi too
goes into nothingness and nothing soul or god or anything remains....
And
so on... because if I am going to put all the sects of spiritual
traditional reasons and other reasons or complete science it will run into
pages...
Can't Moksha or Nirvana be
here?
Yes of course, it is
here and now. But there is a difference... All this looks good for talks... For
example there will be people who will say what is there in meditation... why
waste time of 15 or 30 minutes... Meditation is a state... and we can be in
meditation 24 hours... why sit?... What is there inside... nothing... pretty
true (for them)... but in reality... these very people can't sit silently for 10
minutes... they don't know (the states) M of Meditation except mugged up
logic ...
And since they can't be
or are afraid or lazy to know real 'Meditation' or be in it ... they say like
that...
Similarly there are
escapist since they just want to be comfortable in their closed shells go on
telling oh inaction in action, oh here, this Dharma and so on... And the
pity is all the while they are indulging in everything without any awareness...
So it is very nice when
we talk renunciation or non action is through being... but in reality nothing
happens... it is just a self-deceit
Having said that I will
also say... of course the first thing is that you can go to jungle or anywhere
in this world and still you may carry your own world... carry
your own mirages and then it really doesn't make any difference whether you were
there or anywhere else...
Just as Buddha
differentiated Nirvana as Nirvana and Mahaparinirvana. Mahaparinirvana being
attainable only after death... Patanjali put up Samadhi as savikalpa Samadhi and
nirvakalpa Samadhi similarly there is relative Moksha and absolute
Moksha...
The first step is
relative Moksha ... which means amidst full action you remain non-doer... you
are in the world and yet you have renounced the world... the doing is there but
the doer is not there... hence non-doing... everything just becomes drama... you
are in bliss 24 hours... awareness... 24 hours... This is the first step but
this is relative Moksha... even if it is Drama... a role is being played and yet
not... you are interacting and yet not... hence THIS IS RELATIVE NOT
ABSOLUTE...
Anybody can pretend
that he or she is in Relative Moksha... this is what happened with Tantra...
people misused it for loosing awareness and still pretending that they are
having Yoga through Bhoga whereas not a single trait of Yoga was being
experienced or realized...
So after Relative
Moksha comes... Absolute Moksha... the test of relative Moksha is absolute
Moksha... are you able to be silent or rather dissolve completely ... totally
away from all actions and world... just being ... only subtle actions... Just be
the mirror... no drama... no interaction with anything whatsoever... not even
with environment... and being aware...??...
And then after that
again Relative Moksha...
If not what you talk is
just talks... nothing real...
What happens and
How?
In that static
state, when all activity ceases, you become alert. Some activity is needed... otherwise your unconscious would break
and you would become conscious. Zen says if a person can sit for
six hours without doing anything he will become enlightened. Just for six
hours... Even six seconds will do if you can be absolutely without activity.
When you are not occupied, you cannot be unconscious; when you are unoccupied
your whole energy becomes consciousness. A tremendous release
occurs.
Your energy is engaged in occupation.
Your mind is thinking, your body is working, you are occupied. Your whole energy
is moving in activity, is being dissipated into the world. When you think, you
are dissipating energy; each thought takes energy, needs energy. You are
continuously thinking and dissipating energy for nothing -- just
dissipating energy. Activity needs energy, and your infinite source of energy is
continuously being dissipated. You are leaking from everywhere. That's why you
feel so weak, so frustrated, so impotent. This impotence feels
like helplessness; you are omnipotent and you feel impotent. You have all the
sources of infinite energy within you, you are related to the cosmic source, but
you feel impotent because you are continuously dissipating energy.
If thought stops even for a single moment
and activity is no more, if you have become like a statue, unmoving within or
without, if there is no movement, either of body or of mind, then tremendous
energy is released. Where will it go now there is no activity? It cannot go
without. You become a pillar of energy, a flame of energy.
Everything becomes conscious inside, everything is lighted; your whole being is
filled with light... Pure being... Pure nothingness... Absolute
Moksha...
What about the WESTERN magicians
going on fast of 45 days in glass cabinets etc.?
Almost all Western people are so much
attached to body and without, they don't know anything except without! Hence
whatever they do gets stuck in the out... and they only take the outer... which
means all these things become nothing more than exercise for
them... may be good for body and may be mind ... but they almost always
miss within or going beyond within and without... as their mind never ceases...
and hence ...... futile as far as ...
With that I take your leave...
My Pranam
Devang
